Water Reducing Agent is a concrete admixture which can reduce the amount of water used in mixing under the condition that the slump of concrete remains unchanged. Most of them belong to anionic surfactants, including lignosulfonate, naphthalene sulfonate formaldehyde polymer and so on. The addition of concrete mix can disperse cement particles, improve its workability, reduce unit water consumption and improve the fluidity of concrete mix. Or reduce the amount of cement per unit to save cement.

According to the water reducing agent and strengthening capacity, it is divided into ordinary water reducing agent (also known as plasticizer, water reducing rate is not less than 8%), high efficiency water reducing agent (also known as super plasticizer, water reducing rate is not less than 14%) and high performance water reducing agent (water reducing rate is not less than 25%), and it is divided into early strength type, standard type and slow setting type.
