Product Description

Hydroxypropyl Starch Ether (HPS) is a natural plant-based material. It is a white fine powder obtained by modification, highly etherification reaction, and then spray drying, without plasticizer. It is completely different from ordinary starch or modified starch. 

Santo Chem has many different types of chemicals used in dry mix mortar, concrete, water based paint, including HPMC, PCE, RDP, HEC, MHEC and so on.

Mainly Application

1. Food industry: Hydroxypropyl starch can be used as thickener, suspending agent, and adhesive.
2. Papermaking industry: Hydroxypropyl starch is used for internal sizing and surface sizing of paper to make the film smooth and reduce ink consumption.
3. Textile industry: Hydroxypropyl starch can be used as warp slurry to improve the wear resistance and weaving efficiency during weaving. Hydroxypropyl starch with a high degree of substitution can be used as printing paste.
4. Oil drilling industry: Stabilize well walls, improve drilling conditions, prevent collapse, flocculate drilling cuttings, etc.
5. Daily chemical industry: Hydroxypropyl starch is used as adhesive, suspending agent and thickener in daily chemical industry, cosmetics or coatings.
6. In Building Materials: Hydroxypropyl starch can be used as an adhesive, coating or gelling agent for organic liquids in building materials.
